Frankly I'm not sure how I found it but I speculate that after I read "Before The Coffee Gets Cold" series (which was on display in many bookstores where I live), "The Kamogawa Food Detectives" may have shown up in my recommendations on Goodreads. The premise sounded unique so I read the book and I read the second book in the series as well recently which echoes the same sentiment as the first one. If you are open to slow reads, I think you might like "The Forest of Wood and Steel" and "The Easy Life in Kamusari" in case you haven't read them. I hope you have a wonderful week!
