Yes the Lord of the rRings was filmed in NZ. and with the sea at one end of our street ~ 7 minits walk, we have a river at the other end ~ 3 mins walk, so water plys a big part in my life. There is a lagoon between us and the sea as well. We walk to feed ducks on the river a lot with the chidren. We can swim in the sea in summer but it is cold, mad surffers suff all year round though. Hugs :-)
