Comment: Wow! Thank you for your pretty ATC with a beetle in a jar. It is so cool and fun. Did you put some special finish over the background image? Your work is so inspiring. I want to try this style too ๐Ÿ˜‰
Response: I'm so glad you like the ATC, I had fun making it. 1. The background is a napkin applied with matt medium 2. I printed out the jar with a laser printer 3. Then placed packing tape over the image and fusses cut the jar 4. Place the taped image on a bowel of warm water for about 15 minutes 5. Now rub all of the wet paper off the tape the image will remain 6. The Lady Bug is a sticker that I place the on the ATC and the jar over the sticker 7. Added a layer of matt medium to seal 8. Comment: Thanks for your package and the re-send package. I recommend you to read the swap requirements more carefully next time and only join the swaps you really can do. You didn't fill the swap requirements, but I don't want to ask for third re-send anymore, because it seems like you already tried your best. The first package was not even near for an ounce worth stuff, and it contained only white blank cards. The second package was also too small, it was only 10 grams. (One ounce is 30 grams) and it contained also only some small cards and if you count every small piece of paper as a one item, then it makes 10 different items like the swap requirements said. I made a huge pastel package to my partner, so it was kind of dissappointing to receive this kind of items back.

Then added a light coat of fluid gold, let dry. Then stamped with bubble wrap and a dollar store small woven coaster in black archival ink, let dry. Added the sticker and sealed the entire ATC with delta varnish ๐Ÿ˜Š I had a LOT OF FUN!

Since I'm hosting this swap, I knew which swap GROUP it was for, but in other cases, people in many ATC swaps all of the time, might have trouble figuring out which Valentine group this belonged in. The back ad the ATC info sheet are so neat and beautiful, but the Swap-Bot Group Name needs be included somehow. Other than that this is one of the nicest ATCs I can remember recently. One other thing is that you may need to list the three T Holtz products you used in making your ATC, I'm adding LOTS more hearts! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Response: Iโ€™m so glad you liked the card ๐Ÿ˜Š I agree, I have to redesign the ATC backโ€™s to include swap information. Additionally, Iโ€™ll make sure to include the products used in the TM swaps. For that ATC, I used distress inks for the sponged background, idea-ology design tape on the corner and kraft-core metallic bronze for the mat. I had fun creating it. Comment: I'm rating a 5 because your ATC is truly gorgeous and well done. I loooove the cat on it! I love cats! All the extra goodies you sent were an amazing surprise and I'm excited to use them for ATCs. <3 The ONLY reason I'm not giving a heart is because there was postage due on the package and I had to go to the post office and pay $1.68 for it. The money itself wasn't that bothersome with it only being a small amount but it was just a little inconvenient because I actually had to go twice. The first time they couldn't find it so I went the next day and finally retrieved it. That part is obviously not your fault but with there having been postage due I can't give a heart. But I still thank you so so much for every wonderful thing you sent me.
Response: Oh wow, I truly apologize for the inconvenience. When I take my swaps to the post office I have them weighted and then pay the required postage. I sent your package like all the others and I hope no one else has the same problem. The stamps placed on the package was an .89 cent stamp and a .49 cent Forever stamp having a total of $1.38 cents, with an additional $1.68 cents, the total cost to send that one envelope would be $3.06 --- that's too much. I sent out 5 swaps and they all had the same thing. I took all of them to the post office at the same time. The Post Office Lady ask me what was in the envelope, I told her art stuff and she said they could go as a large envelope. I don't know who decided to charge extra --- but PLEASE believe me I would NEVER send a swap out with postage due. The next time you get to the post office ask them what is the cost difference between sending a large envelope in oppose to a small parcel and what determines the difference. All in all I'm glad you like your ATC and your goodies :-) I'll try to put EXTRA postage on ALL of my swaps from now on.

Comment: Weird! This swap came in a large white envelope from the USPS. Inside was a medium manila envelope addressed by you (I think), and inside that one was a small and pretty decorated purple and white envelope with a "return to sender" sticker on it. I'm sorry for your trouble getting it to me, and I still don't understand it. I'll go inquire at my local P.O. next time I go in. Anyway, thank you so much for the awesome ATCs! I think I might like the "Promise" bird the best. What do you use for the backing that makes them so thick and sturdy?
Response: Oh I do apologize -- it's taken me this long to response. The resend was no trouble at all. I make my ATC's with 3 layers. The first layer is the design, the second is plane chipboard or cardboard, and the third layer is the information which is card stock. I'm glad you finally received your swap -- ENJOY and Happy Swapping!

Response: Thank You for your rating. In response to your observation, I thought ATCโ€™s were just that, Artist โ€œTradingโ€ Cards, I also thought they were meant to be traded. I receive ATCโ€™s all the time that are not created by the sender/swap partner. Additionally, I not only swap with Swap-bot, I also swap with SCS, IUOMA, ATCโ€™s for All and other swaps/swappers. I have quite a collection of ATCโ€™s, several books in fact. So, to share an ATC with another swapper, I personally do not see it as a lack of respect for whoever created the ATC, but as a way to share and display another artist talents. I certainly welcome the idea that my ATCโ€™s are swapped, allowing for the possibility of them being seen by others all over the world, in lieu of one individual holding on to a creation and only that one person viewing what Iโ€™ve created. -- Just a thought on my end. I felt like when I was a kid of 60 years ago when I burried a box with trinkets in it to be open with my best friend Sarah when we became women. Sarah passed on and I still got to open my box of burried treasures. Thanks for the memories and the box. The box is gorgeous. This has to be one of the best swaps and I have many ideas for useing my tiny tresures. You deserve a 100 hearts for this one.
