Description: | |
Purchase a lunch container that holds at least 500 ml. It doesn't have to be a japanese style bento, those can be hard to find and expensive to order. Of course if you are lucky enough to have a local store that sells affordable japanese bento boxes you can use one of those, however if you do not, just go into a store with a kitchen aisle and pick out the lunch container that inspires you the most. Spend at least $1 on the container don't send the 3 for $1 type containers they may be too flimsy. After you have the lunch container fill it up full will edible (mailable/non perishable) food. That could be things like candy, chocolate, small jars of jam/honey, packaged food (pudding, rice, spice etc). It'll be a bit of a challenge finding food that'll fit but be creative. Arrange the food nicely, and creatively, so it looks like a nice bento. Before you ship take a photo of the bento you created and post a link to the photo in The Bento Lunch Swap-October Thread . That way everyone can people can get inspired from your bento and if the bento gets rearranged during shipping (highly likely) your partner will know what it was suppose to look like Optional Theme: Halloween You don't have to follow the theme only if you think it'll make creating the bento even funner. This swap is senders choice, that what will make it fun, you get surprised. |
