I find these a really wonderful, creative and magical idea:

And I thought if we couldn’t come up with own versions? Anyone interested?

The Winter Solstice / Yule will be soon enough, so how about making a Yule / Winter Goddess for your swap partner. You can use any materials really, there are many examples of what’s possible on the website and of course you can come up with own ideas. Maybe you want to make Her very snowy, maybe She’ll bear a little Sun child, or She will be carrying some sticks for warmth in winter, or She’ll wear a mask to chase away the winter’s wild hunt (that’s a tradition in Basel, Switzerland)… see? Endless options.

What She should have is some kind of a face – you can use mould-made ones, or completely handmade, or mould-made and altered, or something entirely different. :)

And as always – which I’m sure you will anyway because all of you are GREAT – do your best work, so that you won’t want to send the swap to your swap partner. LOL (but you WILL send the swap! LOL).

I’m setting this up now because… I’m inspired and because it’ll leave us loads of time. :) Send by date is early December so the Goddess can already live in your home when you prepare for Yule. :)

Any ideas, comments? Please pm me?
