It's time to pull out those fabric scraps, buttons, yarns, and any other embellishment you love to play with and make a mini work of art as a fabric postcard! If you've never made a fabric postcard before, you can still join us. There's a great article at that takes you step-by-step through the entire process of creating a fabric postcard. You don't have to sew if you are handy with fusable webbing or fabric glue, though the article suggests doing some sewing to make sure your pieces hold up through the mail. You'll make and send one fabric postcard. Make it any size or theme you like. You may want to stick with the 4 in. by 6 in. size unless you want to pay a surcharge at the post office. I've set a long deadline so that we have plenty of time to gather fabric and supplies. Please don't wait till the last minute to slap something together. Make something you are proud of and that you would be thrilled to receive. Thanks! |
