Description: | |
This is one of an occasional series of swaps in which we try to craft using found items, things from our stash, and re-purpose materials in a fun way without sacrificing charm and loveliness. I think that cookie cutters, with their quaint shapes, just beg to be altered with a Somerset flair. So, for this swap, take a clean cookie cutter and alter it in the Somerset Style. Think vintage papers, interesting fibers, lovely images, bits and bobs, bows, medallions, game pieces, bits of jewelry, feathers, pearls, beads, lace, ruffles, and, of course, bling! Make it sparkle with loveliness. Alter the cookie cutter so that it can be displayed as a treasure by adding a hanger (fiber, wire, etc) or a magnetic backing. Theme and colors are sender's choice. The lovely image above is from the sweet Rusty Rooster Vintage blog at http://rustyroostervintage.blogspot.com. |
