Description:

For this swap we will have one partner. We will send our partner one book and one handmade bookmark that goes with the book. The books will be winter holiday themed (including cookbooks and children's literature as examples). The books can most certainly be thrifted books in good condition - thrifted books are actually encouraged for this swap.

This will be a profile based swap. Please read your partner's profile to get an idea of what they might enjoy. Also, please post here with suggestions of books and book genres you would enjoy as well as books you'd rather not receive.

Also, you must make a bookmark to go with the book you choose for your partner. The bookmark can be any medium, but it needs to correspond in some way with the book.

I'd like these books to arrive in time for Christmas, so the turnaround will have to be fairly quick. Please wrap your book in holiday wrap and know that your partner will be pleased with their gift from you. Enclose a card or letter or tag of some sort. This should be a nice book, with a handmade bookmark, nicely wrapped with a card or tag included.

I'd like children's books that deal with either Christmas specifically or fairy tales or fantasy stories that take place in winter. Other cultures or even languages would be gladly appreciated for my book,

Oh I like that part about other cultures or languages. Other than that, my favorite story is "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry. Makes me cry every time. But that's just a general idea, you all know I love pretty much everything.

Yep, I'm not picky either. Books are great in many forms, so the above was just an example. And if anyone would like your partner to find something other than Christmas/Winter themed, just post your requests here. This is meant to be fun, not stressful. Who needs more stress at the holidays?

I am watching it. Sending to USA or Australia from Italy can be really expensive so I have to see if I can afford that. If I do, I'll join, and I'd really love to.

Small books are fine, Sara, as well as soft cover ones. I want to make it affordable for anyone who cares to join.
