Enjoy being creative? Writing? Drawing? Photography? Some or all of the above? Looking for a big swap to enjoy? Adore journaling and swapping creative ideas? How about looking to explore your imagination?
Well this swap might be for you!
This year in 2012, I have vowed that I will be more creative and live an inspired life. I decided that I would share this with my other swap botters who might want to do the same. Since this is a big swap, I have broken it down in to steps. Also, since this is a big swap, no newbies or 1s allowed. (Feel free to message me to set up a private swap)
Step One:
- You will need a notebook at least 5" L x 8" W (bigger is okay too!), a selection of pens, pencils, crayons, markers (or whatever you choose!)
- Decorate the notebook however, you choose…, simple, elaborate whatever you choose!
- On the inside put your contact info, swap bot name and swap title.
Step Two:
- Over the month, you will journal about 25 topics and explore them – in any way you would like – words, picture, photo, mixed media.
- 20 topics should come from the list below,
- 5 are free choice (or from the list if you’d like!)
- There are 30 topics below, you must do the first one and the last one but all others are free for you to pick and choose, do them in whatever order you choose.
Topics:
- Intro on yourself, your life and your creative journal (First Entry)
- Go for a walk, people watch. What did you see?
- Listen to a new song/genre/artist. What did it inspire you to do?
- Take a different route somewhere (school, work, and store) what did you notice?
- Fill up a blank page. Clear your mind and just go for it.
- Write down as many uses you can think of for a pencil – try for at least 25 different things
- Where do you live? Describe what your home looks like
- What do you do on a daily basis that fulfills your emotional, spiritual and physical needs?
- How do you view yourself? How do others view you?
- Write a letter to your future self, say whatever you want.
- Try to go to bed early, then wake up and watch the sunrise. How do you feel?
- What is your favourite recipe to make? Why do you like it? Make sure to share it!
- Create a list of the things you’ve always wanted to do but never find time to do
- Write an entry from your six year old self
- Take your journal to a coffee shop, restaurant, or bar and write there.
- Collect things to glue in to the page. Where would you find these?
- Go for a long walk – anywhere you want, what was your walk like?
- Paint a picture or colour in a colouring book – stick it in your journal.
- What are your top 3 wishes?
- What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?
- Take time to organize a closet or a desk. Throw away / give away things you don’t use. How do you feel?
- Where are you creative most? Describe it?
- If you owned a store what would you sell and why?
- Find a photo you like and tell why you like it?
- Do something today you have put off doing? What did you do? How do you feel?

- Take a day (or an evening) and spend it your PJs. Talk about your day?
- Collect your favourite quotes (5 or more) and write them down
