Description:

I just finished the original button fairy swap and absolutely fell in love with making them.

With St. Patrick's Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to make button fairies in this theme. This means that they can be green, have a leprechaun face, or anything else to do with St. Pat's day or Irish-ness.

I just made a button fairy tutorial that I have on my flikr account.

You will have three partners and will make one button fairy for each.

Be creative, use your imagination, and have fun!

Okay...I'm joining this one, but I have to tell you..I received my first button fairy from the public swap and I was so bummed. My partner either didn't understand or just didn't care. It was HORRIBLE and to make matters worse..it fell apart in transit, mostly because it wasn't made properly. If I hadn't put in so much work on mine I wouldn't mind so much. But I did. Ok...I'll stop now.

Just so happy to be here with "Crafters Who Care". Ohhh...there's our group motto!!

I just got one like that today also, at least my other two were good. I am going to make one tonight and take pictures as I go along as a guideline. I hope to have it on my flikr account sometime tomorrow.

For some reason, I can't get your tutorial to load. I would love to take a look and maybe give it a shot but I don't want to sign up not knowing what I'm doing! Can you e-mail it to me maybe?

Your tuturial was very informing. I enjoyed it. I'm a little like you. I received two very awful ones from that first swap on button fairy's. But the third one I received was really a nice one. I hope my "Lucky" fairies turn out as nice as I think my first ones did. I know nothing about having a blog. I just read everyone elses. Thanks also for letting me join this group.

I meant to say I was a little like VJP on the receiving end of that first swap.

I think I'll give this one a try...it looks cute. I make my living painting so it's nice to take a break from that and try my hand with cute and creative projects like this.

I cannot believe how fun these were! I've never made anything like these and I really enjoyed this project. I made a few of my own changes but I think they came out really cute and original. They're going out in the mail tomorrow to AngelFaeryKathleen, alleycat and CraftyDez!

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed making these, I hope you'll join the fun in the Button Fairies-Round two swap that I am also hosting.

oopsy...I boo-booed. Luckily I reread the details of this swap and noticed they had to have a st. paddy's day theme...hence the term "lucky." hehe Anyways, sorry to my partners but my lucky buttom fairies won't be going out until next week. But on the upside...I already have three finished for redwings next swap. Yippee!
