This is going to be the first in a series of sneaky swaps. Why sneaky? Sneaky because if you've joined (or plan on joining) the journal swap, these swaps are aimed at creating cemetery journal fodder. ;-) You do not have to be involved, in any way, with the journal to join these swaps, but if you are... ;-) Do you know what a tip-in is? A page crafted to be added to an art book, a journal, your diary, etc. It's created independently and "tipped in" later. I create these weekly for a beloved blibit called The Magic Cookbook. (Think useable scrapbook.) For this tip-in, however, you're going to have some inspiration in the form of a short poem. How you interpret the poem is up to you, but the finished page must be at least 5X5. If you wanna check with your partner for page dimensions, that's cool, but if you don't wanna wait, start with 5x5 and no bigger than 8.5X11. All squares? Here's the poem: Amidst the mists and coldest frosts, With stoutest wrists and loudest boasts, He thrusts his fists against the posts, And still insists he sees the ghosts. The group I belonged to used this poem one Samhain ritual, repeating it, over and over, louder and louder, until we were all shouting. (Ah, what the neighbor's must be thinking.) It was awesome. ^ __ ^ Questions? Clarifications? PM me. |
