Description: | |
Greetings everyone! For this swap, you will be making and sending 3 (three) handmade binder ring trading cards to 1 (one) partner. (This is a revised version of a previous swap. I have changed the size requirements, so it should be easier and less confusing!) Binder ring trading cards are part of a movement I am starting here on Swap-Bot. I thought of the idea when I saw word cards in a Japanese store. Word cards are blank cards on binder rings meant to be used as flash cards. My idea is to decorate and trade them, so you will start to grow a collection of cards on a binder ring that you can flip through and show to friends. You can find word cards at Daiso or Japanese bookstores and specialty stores. If you do not have any of these stores by you, feel free to cut cardstock to the correct size (see size information below) and punch a hole in them so they can be stored on a binder ring. For this swap you can use any card larger than 1x2 inches and smaller than 2x4inches. If it is more convenient, you can make them 'moo card' size, which fit the size requirements for this swap. If you receive cards that are not the correct size, please rate a 3. Hint: Measure twice, cut once! Your card MUST have a hole punched in it. The hole should be punched on the short end and in the middle! See the picture above. You can change the orientation of the card from horizontal to vertical if it suits you better, as long as the hole is in the same place. Card MUST be handmade and well done. To clarify: -Hand-drawn or painted is great. -Digital art is great, as long as you created it. -No printed images, with the exception being your own digital art. -Collage papers and other ephemera are good. -Stamped images are good as embellishments, but not as the main focal point. -Please no stickers. -Other embellishments are allowed, as long as they are light and relatively flat. Your card MUST have a hand-drawn element of some kind. You don't have to be a professional artist. You can make a nice little doodle or a full-blown masterpiece; it's up to you! You can draw directly on the card, or glue the picture to it. Your cards MUST be sturdy. If you are cutting your cards, use cardstock or heavy paper. If you are buying them, check the thickness. You can always glue two cards together to make them sturdier. Please have a 4.90 rating or higher. No recent 1's or 3's. I reserve the right to ban seedy-looking characters at my discretion. You will have until the 22nd to sign up, and the 7th (of March) to send. Please message me with questions, as I don't look at the comments very often. Thanks for reading, and have fun!
