Do you have an animal totem or familiar you work with? Or do you just have an affinity for a particular animal, for whatever reason?

This swap is to give one partner two special items honoring their chosen animal.

When you join, please give at least two animal choices in the comments section. When partners are assigned, please look at your partner's choices, pick one, and:

  • Create a card-an ATC, skinny, notecard, inchie/twinchie, postcard, whatever you choose. This can be a painting, sketch, collage, whatever medium is your favorite. This should feature your partner's totem animal. This is to be made by you, not purchased. Make something you are proud of!

If you happen to have a commercial card that features the totem animal you are sending and you know your partner will love it, feel free to add as an extra, but the swap itself is for something you created.

  • Create a charm, trinket, gew-gaw, knick-knack, or dimensional gift of some sort relating to your partner's totem animal.

Some ideas for crafting:
amigurumi
embroidered item
art doll
plushie
dotee
clay amulet
altoid shrine
decorated boxes
felt ornament
leatherwork
... whatever you enjoy working with and feel inspired by.

If you belong to the The Goddess Corner, you will notice this part is different. Since this is Crafty Witches group, purchasing the gift is not an option. This is crafted by you. :D

Make this something nice and thoughtful that your partner will enjoy seeing everyday. I am leaving the interpretation of the item up to you, as long as it honors your partner's chosen totem animal! This is an opportunity to showcase your favorite craft, as well.

EDIT for clarification. Received a message and wanted to clarify here.... This is open to YOUR interpretation. You can be literal: the totem animal you are sending is cat and you make an art doll or plushie of an cat or embroider a lovely Bast and frame it. Or, you can interpret into a useful object: If you see on your partner's profile that they love tea, create a tea wallet with cat fabric or decorate a tin or box to store tea, or silk screen a cat onto tote bag. I hope this helps!

This has a short sign up date, but am giving a 5 week turnaround to give you time to craft just the perfect items.

Recap: ONE partner, TWO items (a paper craft and a dimensional gift)

If you have not commented with your animals by the time to assign partners, I will sadly ban you.

I edited the rating requirements. Typo. Did not mean for it to be 4.6. It is 4.9

I have been so inspired by this swap (and my partners in both swaps I am hosting) that I have worked almost nonstop for two days on these. I hope everyone else is enjoying the process also.
