The idea of a Whimsey Jar is to fill a jar with as many little treasures as you can that your partner will enjoy.

Swap Details:

  • This is SENDERS choice. But please check your partners profile for allergies if you plan on sending candy. (Remember: In July it's hot. Candy may not be a good idea)

  • Get a 16oz Jar or larger if you'd like. Think Canning Jar. Can be glass or plastic.

  • Find as many DIFFERENT 4th of July related items to put in the jar. They need to be 4th of July related. They don't all have to be specifically red, white n blue. They can be things that one will usually see on 4th of July during picnics and parties

  • You are NOT required to decorate the jar.

  • Have fun and send on time.

Guidelines

  • Must have a 4.7 Rating
  • No 1's in the last 6 months
  • No 3's in the last 3 months

YOU CANT RATE YOUR PARTNER LESS THAN A 5 JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THE ITEMS. IF YOU DON'T RECEIVE YOUR JAR, PLEASE CONTACT ME AND YOUR PARTNER BEFORE YOU RATE THEM. THINGS DO SIMPLY GET LOST IN THE MAIL AS WE ALL KNOW FIRST HAND.

As always this is a smoker friendly swap. I have no control over who smokes, so no rating down because it smells like smoke

I don't have the money to angel this swap. So please don't sign up if you think you may have a conflict and won't be able to send or if you just arent that serious about this swap.

Just wondering why the send date is 2 1/2 weeks before the 4th of July. Seems kinda like an early send date especially since its a USA swap. SMILES!

@Happycrazylion - Because mail these days seems to take freaking forever. And if there are things in the jar they can use, I'd like for them to get some enjoyment out of it.

Can we do a box instead of a jar since glass breaks easy and that they get thrown around in the mail?

@Joannebrandt - No. this is for a jar. I've never had an issue with glass breaking. You can use a plastic jar if you don't want to use a glass one. You just have to pack it really good. Sorry

Can we add non 4th of July specific items since there is only so much you can do with red, white n blue?

Is smaller than a 16oz. ok? It is smaller than a 12oz. A jar I bought at Hobby Lobby. I was going to back out of this swap but I already have some items and I love 4th of July. I have some more ideas I want to get for this swap. If I find stuff too big for the jar then I'll lay it in the box.
