Butterflys start out as caterpillar and are metaphor for transformation and are ripe with meaning. This Mandala will be in the shape of the outline of a butterfly in flight. Use mine or find one of your own. Make one Mandala for one swap partner. The Mandala should be 5 inches or larger on heavy sketch, drawing paper or card stock. Use colored pencils or permanent inks, neat and clean. Be as precise or as loose as you want with this swap, however it should remind the viewer of the silhouette of a butterfly and be recognizable as a mandala. Use a ruler and a protractor to make your mandala circle, or with a bowl and eyeball the segments you will fill with your designs. Don't forget your name, contact information and name of the swap on the back.
