Send one postcard to one partner that is hand cancelled* (aka hand stamped). This swap is sender’s choice and the postcard should be sent naked°, stamped and written on. Write a nice, short note about anything on the card. I will angel if necessary. I may make this monthly if there is enough interest. The Nitty Gritty: Ratings – A rating of “5†should be given if you receive a postcard that has been hand cancelled by April 23rd. You may actually receive the postcard later due to travel time. Remember, this is sender’s choice so it doesn’t matter if you like the postcard. Please contact your partner before giving a low rating. The mail system isn’t perfect and things get lost. This is about the joy of sending and receiving mail! ☺ :) New swappers with a well filled out profile are most welcome. No unexplained low ratings. I will check everyone’s profile. I am making it open to store bought or professionally printed postcards. Due to many requests, I am going to allow handmade postcards too. However, if you put a lot of glued on items (buttons, etc), do not be surprised when the postcard does not make it to its destination, especially if mailing overseas. Make something nice that you would like to receive. I have seen some magnificent handmade postcards! This is open to international swappers. In my last swap, a participant sent me a message after the swap end date stating that she didn’t want to send international so she just didn’t sent anything. Please don’t do that. I like seeing the cancelled post marks from other countries. I have received super cool stamps from Libya, Australia and France! Be aware that you may have to spend extra money for international postage to send this postcard. You will only have one partner, so it shouldn’t break the bank. To the best of my knowledge, The United Kingdom does not allow for hand cancelling. (Sorry mates!) HAPPY SWAPPING!! *This means that you walk the postcard up to the counter and ask the nice mail person to hand cancel it. ☺ :) °For the Newbies: Naked means the postcard should NOT be sent in an envelope. ☺ :) |
