Many new swappers have asked to join this swap, so I'm making a "newbie" version. Seasoned swappers that meet the first swaps requirements can join both, but take different pictures just in case you're paired with the same partner! Original Swap: I'm always terribly interested in people's day-to-day lives. That's probably why I watch so many documentaries. When I receive a penpal letter and the author speaks of their house or their pets I always envision what they look like. In this swap, I'd like to reveal the mystery! So, you're going buy a new disposable camera and use ALL of it to take photos of your house, your cat, your neighborhood, your spouse, your car...whatever you want to share with a swapper. Make it themed if you want: snap photos of your city's landmarks or natural landscape. Take twenty-five photos of yourself in different wigs...whatever! (With that being said, I would totally be excited about a bunch of wig photos). Then, you're mailing off the camera to your partner. They'll develop it. It would probably be a good idea to write a short note to accompany your camera, but don't disclose too much of the content of the photos. It will spoil the surprise of developing them. A few rules: -No nudity or illegal activities, please! These cameras will be developed by professionals, so don't embarass your swap partner! -Try to be mindful of people's dislikes and do a profile browse before your photo expedition. If someone is afraid of bugs or clowns; don't take photos of them. -Don't try to be Ansel Adams. When a photo has heart, it's always beautiful! The business: -This is the newbie version of a recent swap. I'm opening it to everyone with a well-filled profile and no recent 1's or 3's. I'll be checking so please contact me with your explanations. -Any questions? Contact me directly. I'm giving a fairly long period to take the photos and mail off the camera, so please take the kind of photos that you would like to receive. Hopefully, you can take a peek into a place you've never been! |
