Christmas is here soon! Or not. But December 1st isn't -that- far away (it never is!), and November and December are both busy and expensive, so having advent calendars ready is a good feeling, even when it's still months away =) And of course you are allowed to open your presents at any time you want, so if you are the type of person that just can't wait, you don't have to ;P The rules are like last year, and the year before that: you will have 4 partners. To each of your 4 partners you send 6 envelopes with something nice in them. This way you will have an envelope to open every day until Christmas, from 4 different places in the world! Feel free to decorate the envelopes =) That gives you an excuse to bring out the Christmas stickers, rubber stamps and pens in the summer time ;P This swap not themed and it's open to anyone that has more than 50 completed and rated swaps and 30 of them has to be Type 2 or 3. You also need a profile that is filled out with likes/wish list. This is a profile based senders choice swap, use your brain when picking out stuff to send, I believe everyone wants to send something their partners will appreciate, and if you don't (and I think I speak for everyone here when saying this) you can stay away from Swap-bot in general. The value of what's inside the envelope for this swap is not set, but the point is to make your partners happy, and if you send junk you will get a bad rating in December because the recipients can come back and change the ratings when the envelopes are opened. But you are required to rate with a 5 as soon as you get your envelopes in the mail! This swap not themed (other than the flatness of the items sent) and it's open to anyone that has more than 40 completed and rated swaps. 10 of those 40 has to be Type 3. You also need a profile that is filled out with a long likes/wish list. This is what I call a "profile based senders choice swap", which means that everyone uses their brain and love for both Christmas, gifts and swapping when picking out stuff to send. I believe everyone wants to send something their partners will appreciate, and if you don't (and I think I speak for everyone here when saying this) you can stay away from Swap-bot in general. Remember that people can come back in December and change their ratings when the gifts are opened. But you are required to rate with a 5 as soon as you get your gifts in the mail, no matter when you are planning to open them! New of this year is that many of these swaps will be hosted in a group called Advent lovers. Lots of seasoned swappers don't want to swap in public swaps at all, but still want to participate in these swaps. If you want to apply for membership in this group, go to Advent lovers |
