Description:

Squares are to be 6'x6' (6 inchx6inch)

any colour, any style (this means it doesn't have to be a traditional granny square style)

Though you may ask your partner if they are looking for a particular colour of square.

i plan on trying to host one of these every month :D so feel free to keep an eye out for them

note: i am just calling it granny squares as i know of no other name to call them, samplers? call it what you want :D

another note: please remember that there are those out there who like myself do not have a wide variety of colours to choose from to knit, we will try to get the colours to what you are requesting in the comments, but please remember, yarn does cost money, and not everyone has the money to buy new colours on a whim. thanks for reading this little note at the bottom.

Final Note: 1 Square per partner, if you wish to send more than one, you ROCK!

What kind of yarn? Acrylic?

I'm just a beginner, so I haven't tried any patterns yet. Would I need to use a pattern that goes around from the middle? I think that's usually how granny squares work. Or would a square crocheted from the bottom to the top in an interesting yarn be ok?

Ok, I clicked to sign up for this swap. It will be my first one on this Swap-bot website! I am so excited. Can you answer a few questions? 1. How do we get a partner? 2. Do we send all the squares to you or directly to our partner? 3. Do we have to wait until the start date to send? 4. How long does the swap last? Thanks, I am so happy to join this. -=Evette=- Bakersfield, CA

@Swan Youtube is a fantastic place to learn to crochet granny squares and learn new stitches. I've been crocheting for three or four years now from what I learned all on Youtube! There's all kinds of types you can make, but I am also unclear as to what the op means by sampler/granny square. I'll be making a regular ol' granny square myself out of Peruvian Wool. Acrylic tends to be scratchy, and I know that personally I'm joining these swaps to get all kinds of yarn and squares back to make a blanket/scarf with. I imagine it's up to you.

@Evette My first swap too! WOO!
