CLICK JOIN SWAP TO PARTICIPATE. If you click "watch swap" you will NOT be participating. Each person will have 9 partners. You will be sending each partner 12 HST Units that will finish at 2.5" Each (total of 108 HST units mailed out).**Don't panic! I'm going to show you a super fast way to sew up 108 HST units really accurately. HST Unit Example Make sure to use one fabric as a "light" value and one fabric with a "dark" value to get the contrast. Blocks will be scrappy! Seams should be pressed to the dark value. We will be using the foundation pieced HST method. Tutorial Link: http://tinyurl.com/HST-TutorialUse this printable template for 2.5" HST UnitsKeep in mind that the units will be 3" when you cut them apart. That is because they include the .5" seam allowance and will finish in the quilt at 2.5".Fabric should be new, of good quality (if you can hold your hand behind the fabric and see through it don't use it) and 100% cotton. Color choices are senders preference. You should have enough HST units in the end to send a scrappy packet to each person with few duplicates in it. Try to send out a variety to each person! If you have allergies please state this so your partner knows. If I need to pair you with a new partner I will do so. If possible, use fabrics you already have in your stash. This is a scrap busting swap! |
