Description:

In this "343" swap we will swap 3 themed atc to 3 partners. This means you will make a total of 9 atcs to send. (I always like to make an extra to keep) The standard sizing for atcs please and of course your best work on a sturdy card base. Please put some thought, creativity and effort into making these truly ARTIST trading cards. When choosing my themes I try to be seasonal but something not seen over and over. I like to do one fun activity, one domestic activity ( celebrate chores!) and then one "thing" popular for that season without being too overdone. AUGUST 343 swap themes 1)Camping Out-- be romantic, nostalgic, "campy" or even humorous to bring the concept of camping out to life. Think woodsy, starlight, campfires, mosquitoes?
2) Jams and Jellies-- There was a time when preserving the garden's bounty was essential to help provide through the year ahead. The sweet harvests of berries and fruit were especially treasured when turned into jams and jellies. These canned goods are still jewels from the garden. Recreate that taste or activity in your atcs. 3) Corn on the Cob- I grew up in Indiana. August meant yummy corn on the cob. Covered in butter and pepper, it was a seasonal favorite. Can you taste it? Since this swap is not partner based you can start making your cards right away. I hope you will join this celebration of August.

Phew! Got all 9 of these cards completed. It was great fun. Can't wait to send them out. Thanks for having such an interesting swap.

Linda, you go girl! I have not even totally designed mine in my head yet! I have some ideas but nothing concrete..or is that cardstock and barrel? I can't wait to see what everyone does. I am afraid from what I hear on the news and from friends that this may be the only corn on the cob i have this year. I guess Indiana's crop is trashed due to weather. All the more reason to celebrate it !
