Make a MB using at least one button as an embellishment in which the button takes the place of or looks like something else. Like the O in a word, the body of a ladybug, the tire on a bike or car, the top of a hot air balloon, the center of a flower, a cherry on a dessert, the top of a tree or part of a number like the round part of a 6, 8 or 9. Add a button for the drawer pull too. Then you will also make an ATC in the style of a package of buttons aka button card. It doesn't necessarily have to look like a current or vintage button card, though that would be nice. You can put your own spin on it. But something should let us know it is a button card, not just an ATC decorated with buttons. Like the price, a hanging hole or tab, the word BUTTONS in way that looks like a button card or even the placement of the buttons. The buttons do not have to match though that might be an element to help your ATC look like a button card if you wish. If it is the right size, you could even decorate an actual button card! Then fill your box with buttons. Please do not fill with all plain white, brown or black shirt or coat buttons. No more than half the box filled with that type. So many pretty ones are available! Or stamp, paint or embellish some plain ones. PapertreyInk.com sells bags of 100ish buttons for $5 in a single colour. There are always interesting ones in the bag and a mix of sizes. Never all plain. NAYY *If you use rubber stamping, please stamp cleanly; missed areas, smudges or double lines are not acceptable. *Please check your partner's profile and avoid dislikes both in colour and theme. You may make this profile based if you wish. *Please do not use computer generated images or sentiments because I have been very disappointed by images printed in very poor quality lately. (If you print them well using very good quality paper and ink, your partner won’t know and can’t rate you badly for it can they?? Wink wink!) And no magazine cut outs. *Please make a beautiful MB and ATC you are proud of and would be thrilled to receive. *The MB and ATC must each include a total of at least 3 layers and/or embellishments. You must use all quality craft supplies. No cheap junk. *Make sure your work is clean and precise. No glue should show and straight cuts need to be straight. Colouring needs to look adult, not like a child did it. Please don't be discouraged by these rules. I am only referring to general tidy work, not tiny flaws. *Please ship with care. A bubble mailer isn't enough unless your box is sturdy. See the forums for a cheap and easy shipping suggestion that cuts down on mailing costs too! *Please have a 4.97+ rating to join and no 1's EVER or 3's in the last 6 months. I will accept explanations of course, PM me ahead of the sign up deadline. If you see a flaker has joined, don't worry, I will weed them out but there shouldn't be any on a group like this! If you are really worried, give me a heads up! I’ve been flaked on so many times, I've stopped keeping track, so I get it! |
