Welcome Vintage Swappers to the very first of what I hope will be regular swaps with a ViNtaGe twist!

I am drawn to all things vintage - buttons; pins; hankies; lace; tray cloths; tins; postcards; ephemera...you get the picture, so for this swap all you have to do is check out your partner's profile to see what kind of Vintage they prefer and put together a superb Lucky Parcel for them.

The trick with a Lucky Parcel is to wrap it appropriately so take time and make your partner thankful! You will have ONE lucky partner! Do your best!

This is not a costly swap but you should aim to spend about $10, before shipping, the secret is in how you present it so have fun!

Here are the boring bits...I take swapping seriously and if you join this swap so should you so no recent 1's or 3's without a good explanation. I will check profiles and reserve the right to push you off this swap if you are not worthy!! In other words -NO FLAKING!!

Any questions then pm me.

When sending vintage...how in the world do you price old stuff. Might be better to qualify by envelope size. I have no idea what $10 is in old buttons, hankies, music sheets, text sheets, ephemera, etc. I think I shall watch for now. One's idea of $10 of stuff can fall short by the estimation of the recipient and thus lead to a bad rating. Sorry, too risky, I've been burned a few times, tho' I usually love this kind of swap and pack mine full.

Thank you @coleenfranks for your view and for sending it to me as a pm too. I completely respect your reservations about the swap although I am hoping that others may take the plunge and join. I do agree that while one person's view of $10 worth of vintage items may not be equitable with another's I actually feel this can be the same for all swaps. I know I have received items that still carry the price tag but I wouldn't have bought them for half that price! I suppose what I am hoping is that those trusted swappers who are in this group, at the expense of losing their place in the group, will carefully peruse their partner's profile and gather a bunch of stuff that is worthy and then, and this is important too, they will wrap and present it in such a way as to please their partner. After all that's what it's all about isn't it? (I guess I'm a cup half full kinda girl). Of course if someone feels their partner has 'fallen short' then I am here as a host to mediate and angel if necessary. @coleenfranks - are you tempted, even just a little?!
