S: Between the Pages

While thumbing through a stack of old books recently, I came across several interesting items I had stuck between the pages for safe keeping. The fact I'd forgotten they were there made me feel as if I had just unearthed a buried treasure! I thought it would be fun to share this feeling with a swap partner. :-)

This challenge is to find a new or used, hardcover book that connects in some way to your partner's profile. It does not necessarily need to be a book she would enjoy reading, so you are at liberty to be creative in your selection. For instance, if she states that her favorite color is blue, you could send a copy of The Blue Day Book. Please don't send anything she claims to dislike or find offensive, however. A thin publication that fits inside a small padded mailer is fine, but you can choose to send something larger if you prefer. Hide at least five different surprises for your partner between the pages. Ideas include (but are not limited to):

• notecards

• bookmarks

• recipes

• dried flowers

• handkerchiefs

• photographs

• inchies

• sealed tea bags

• old keys

• postage stamps

• poems

• sticker sheets

• postcards

• ATCs

Although it is not a requirement, you may write or draw in the book, as well. On the inside cover, write (or type and attach) the necessary swap information and a note explaining why that book was chosen for this swap.
