What the heck is anthropomorphic? Anthropomorphic means giving the characteristics of humans to other things. In the art doll world, this is generally used when discussing animal-like art dolls, but this could mean anything being given human characteristics. Ernie the envelope is an example of anthropomorphism! Some other examples would be the cupcake people and mushroom people I am seeing everywhere. At Halloween, you see a lot of pumpkin head people. You are limited only by your own imagination. I love making the human-like animals, and can't wait to see how others interpret this theme. For this swap, we are going to create an anthropomorphic art doll-at least 4" tall. Sender choice on style, materials, and colors-except no paper dolls, no dotees, no button fairies, no plushie/softies. Some inspiration: Watermelon head-creepy and amazeballs! And on my personal flickr, there are moose, frog, cat, birds, flowers, and a tree |
