These ornaments are super simple to make and add homespun charm to the holidays! Collect a variety of flat buttons in holiday colors. Many craft stores sell them in bulk. Attach them to a Styrofoam ball by sticking straight pins through the holes in the buttons and pushing the pins into the ball. Dip the tips of the pins in craft glue before sticking them into the Styrofoam to give the ornament added durability. Please use a 3" ball (or larger) for this project. Vary the look by occasionally stacking two or three buttons of different shapes and sizes on the pins before inserting them. Make sure the pins you use are short enough to prevent them from poking through the other side of the ball yet long enough to hold the buttons securely. When the ball is fully covered, attach a pretty bow to finish the look. Be sure to include a loop for hanging. Participants will be thoroughly screened before partners are assigned. I will angel this swap in the unlikely event of a one rating. |
