@Luciansmommy has asked me to step in and host some of these for her right now so we can keep the series going, so here we go! I am absolutely hooked on zentangles, they are so addicting, and I do not think there are nearly enough swaps for them on here. For this series,we will be using the list of tangle patterns of the site tanglepatterns.com and each swap will be for one letter of the alphabet. For example for this swap, letter RECEIVERS CHOICE OF LETTER , you will make an ATC that features one or more of the patterns that have names that start with RECEIVERS CHOICE OF LETTER. After partners are assigned pm your partners to find out which letter they are missing. I know that I have a tendency to keep going back to the same patterns, and think this will widen my scope a little. Color is optional. Please adhere to all of the standard ATC guidelines, and only send something that you would be happy to receive. Only swappers with a 4.9 or above and no recent 1's or 3's without explaination, no overdue swaps on your dashboard, and you must have logged in within 4 days of the sign-up date. I will be checking! I will angel but hope that it is not necessary, since we are all adults.

I have a question, and it is in no way demeaning you the host. How come a person cannot use the tangles she/he has designed herself, that have not gone through the web site about tangles?

I have about ten tangles I have designed myself and have no way of getting them to a computer, but they are good tangles and go by the rules of how a tangle is made.

Ok that is all I have to ask, and once again, I know it is your swap and your choice, I respect that, I am just wondering is all.

And anyone that joins this swap should do as you ask, and get and use the 'official' ones.

Well, the reasoning behind this swap series was for either beginners to zentangles like myself to explore all the different patterns out there. Or for experienced tanglers to expand the patterns they use.

Now, if I tell people they can use their own tangles they created and use all the time, that would defeat the purpose of expanding, know what I mean? Plus, this way, it keeps everyone in the swap on the same page. Its really cool to see how two different people have the same set of patterns to use but give me two completely different ATCs.

Plus, I didn't create the series to begin with, I'm just taking over for someone.

I've joined zentangle swaps before, but never an atc swap. Does anything else need to be on the atc or does it need to be altered? Or do we just cover it with doodles?

I answered in a pm, but figured I'd answer here too, in case other people were wondering the same. All that has to be on the ATC is the Zentangle. You don't have to alter it in any other way.
