Description:

This is a copy of a swap that @weeatcrayons did this summer for the I LOVE Kawaii group.

For this swap you will make 6 different envelopes for your partner out of kawaii paper/memo sheets. There is a video tutorial/explanation by @ColoradoKate here.

Some memo sheets have an envie already printed on it and you could just cut it out, fold, and glue it together. Some memos have an all-over print and would make a great envelope. Just open up a mini envelope and trace around it or use one of your cut-out ones as a template to make more! You can also use origami paper with a kawaii design or letterset papers. Just keep it kawaii!

Please make your envelopes nice and neat! No sloppy, glue smeared everywhere, paper hanging over the edges junk! Send something that you would be thrilled to receive please.

I'm actually having a hard time finding paper I can use, if ya can believe. Will keep looking!!!

You could use any really. You could also use origami paper as long as it has a kawaii design.

You could even use a letterset paper I guess if you had any extras.

What are the required envie dimensions?

tiggerkitn25 10/31/2012 #

There is no size requirement. As long as it is mini or small in size and big enough to fit at least a few sticker flakes inside it's all good. I anticipate that most of these will be made using the 4"x6" memo papers so it will be a small envelope.

Awesome tutorial!

Love this! I hope I can join in, I need to go grab some crafting glue first XD

Side note: would deco tape be okay to use in place of glue?

tiggerkitn25 11/ 8/2012 #

Yeah I guess you could also use deco tape. A solid color washi tape would look neater if you have that. It really doesn't take much to hold these, a glue stick would work just fine.
