Description: | |
It seems like many belief systems have a celebration of some kind in December. It may be Hanukkah, Winter or Summer Solstice, Christmas (religious or secular), Kwanza or something I haven't listed. We seem to be a very diverse group. In this swap each person will send a card to each of three partners that expresses the senders belief system. If your beliefs are ones that don't have cards for sale (as in Hallmark has yet to discover it) just take a note card and write a couple of lines as to what you believe. If you don't celebrate anything in Dec. a note explaining when you do celebrate and how would be great, or maybe something explaining why you don't celebrate will work. Two rules, first, great to share your beliefs, not great to attempt to attempt to convert your partner. Second, respect your partner and be willing to accept anything that comes. If you don't like what comes, toss it in the recycle bin on the way into the house but save the envelope to rate your partner a 5. I figure we are all mature enough to know what we believe and accept other's beliefs. Hopefully everyone will feel comfortable joining and sharing. Remember, one card or short note, to each of three parters. I am leaving this open throughout December since I am not certain just when each celebration occurs. |
