Let's make some postcards that others can use to send birthday greetings. We will handmake 2 birthday postcards for each of 2 partners, for a total of 4 postcards. They can be made using any material/medium as long as some creativity and handwork have gone into them. (No ripping the covers off paperbacks, putting a bunch of stickers on a piece of cardstock, etc., you get the idea.) Fabric, paints, drawing, personal photography, paper, embroidery, crosstitch, beading, ribbon, etc. are all acceptable. Make something you would love to send to your own best friend! Please do not place any text on either side of the postcards (not all of us will necessarily want English text, and some of us may want to mail the postcard in an envelope). For size requirements, please either check your partner's post office website, or ask your partner. We want to be sure that they will be able to mail them from home using standard postage. This also means that you will have to either (1)watch embellishments to keep them fairly flat, or (2)send extra postage to make up for any additional cost to mail. These postcards will be sent in an envelope for your partner to use. Lastly, to help your partners design your postcards, please specify in the comments below what types of greetings you would like as well as at least 5 favourite basic colours (no shades or hues please). It will be sender's choice as to which greetings and colours they will use from those given in your lists, but please do not send 2 identical postcards. I think I have covered everything - if not, please pm me. Have fun! |
