Description: | |
UNESCO designates March 21st as World Poetry Day. Let's take a minute on March 21st (or thereabouts) to share a bit of poetry via postcard! The poetry you send should be taken from a piece of published poetry written by someone other than yourself. Postcards don't give us much space, but try to fit at least 2 lines of a poem on the back of the postcard. Poetry from any historical period, from any culture, and in any language is fair game! But please provide an English translation if you choose a poem written in a language other than English (unless you know for certain that your partner knows that language). And, of course, remember to include the author of the poem, as well as your name/username. Your postcards can be hand-made or commerically produced, and they can picture anything you like. If you're up for a fun challenge, you can try to make the image coordinate somehow with the piece of poetry you are sending, but that's not a requirement for the swap. Other details: 1) Newbies are welcome. 2) Non-newbie swappers with a rating below 4.90 will be dropped before partners are assigned. 3) For this swap, it's okay to send hand-made postcards in envelopes (to protect them). 4) This is an international swap! |
