Description: | |
I hate winter. I dread the long, dark days, treacherous roads and increased energy bills. One of the few things I do enjoy between the months of November and March is sipping on a steaming beverage. This simple pleasure is enhanced by adding a bit of texture and color to the experience. For this swap, you will make one reusable coffee sleeve for one partner using a sock. Begin by reading her profile to get a feel for her color preferences and general style. Purchase a new sock you think she would love. Measure three-inches from the top of it. Cut across the sock at this point to create a band. Embellish the band with a few buttons, sequins and/or felt cutouts to give it added charm. Please attach all embellishments tastefully by stitching them on. The finished sleeve will slip onto a to-go cup or tumbler. The unfinished edges will roll slightly to hide frays, but you may finish the edges if you prefer. In the unlikely event that you are left out in the cold and find it necessary to rate your partner a one, I will angel this swap for you. |
