Description:

This is a Redistribution of the "Wealth" Postcard Swap.

Do you sometimes buy large lots of postcards or mystery bundles of postcards? I do, and I really enjoy going through them and culling out fun and cool postcards to keep and share. But, as a result of this process, it seems that I have acquired a good number of postcards in certain, shall I say, more mundane categories, such as public buildings, which I hesitate to pass along in open postcard swaps due to my suspicion that my partners would prefer postcards that are a little more exotic. I figure that there must be others like me, who have an ever growing pile of these cards. Shall we put them to use and share them with each other in a fun way?

For this swap, you will have 3 partners. You will send each partner a naked (stamped and written on) postcard showing some sort of building to which the general public has access. Examples might be buildings on university campuses, banks, office buildings, museums, state or federal capitol buildings, civic centers, planetariums, historic landmark buildings, governors’ mansions, libraries, schools, hospitals, etc. Please do not include hotels and motels, as I will be hosting a separate swap just for those types of postcards.

To make it more fun, let's write about public buildings too. Feel free to tell your partner what you think of the public building on the card or share something about your experiences in public buildings, or maybe mention the last public building you visited. Your postcards may be the older variety (standard size) or they may be the modern type (continental size), or they may be any other size. Since this is something of a de-stash swap, let’s stick with commercially produced postcards (which includes cards made commercially by online sites like Zazzle, Redbubble, etc.) rather than home-made postcards.

Participants must have a 4.9 rating and been rated for 10 Type 2/Type 3 swaps. Please contact me if you have any questions. This is an international swap, so please make sure you use the appropriate postage when you mail your cards.

Please let me know with a PM when you host another swap like this. I like the quirky stuff like this.
