Hello! I got this idea from another swap earlier this month where somebody collected postcards for a loved one who lost their collection in Hurricane Sandy. It seemed like a great idea. Well, my Aunt-In-Law was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She's a very strong person and definitely going to be able to kick it in the butt, but she's been so down ever since the diagnosis. She has been feeling worse and worse as time passes and I thought, hey, it would be a really great way to cheer her up by sending her a surprise package of postcards from all over the world and the rest of the USA. So, how it would work is that you would be sending two postcards. You'd send one to your assigned partner as part of the regular swap process. That one is your choice as what to say or send. The second would be a card written to Sonya. Nothing too huge, just a postcard with some encouraging words like some jokes or inspirational stories written to her. The card to Sonya would be sent to my mailbox. This is only because she wouldn't feel comfortable with her address being put online without her knowledge and because I want this to be a complete surprise for her. So, address it to me but actually write the card to her. Does that make sense? My address is: Rachel Moore 3200 Coleman CT DL 524 Little Rock, Arkansas 72204 USA Okay, here is what you will be doing in short:
Thank you so much to anybody who takes interest in participating in this swap! I know Sonya would love the cards so much and it would cheer her up immensely. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. |
