Thanks to @MrsSergeant for this idea. You will make a baking themed 32 ct MB and include a recipe and a small baking themed surprise for your partner, minimum $5-6 but more is fine. You can tuck the recipe into the MB if you can manage to write or print it small enough on thin enough paper I suppose but it might be better to include a standard recipe card. Brownie points for a card that matches your MB! (Get it, brownie points LOL, I crack myself up!) The profile surprise can be edible, as long as mailing regulations allow, like decorating candies or sugars, fancy banking or melting chocolates or chocolate chips, dried fruits, baking, cookie or frosting mixes, themed sprinkles (not the plain rainbow kind unless you send in a decorated or special container), pre-made flowers, sugar decorations, specialty cocoa or flavourings or vanilla beans etc. You could also send packaging for candies or cupcakes, cupcake papers, plastic decorations, fancy paper straws, pretty napkins, a cookie cutter or other baking tool, a pretty spoon or spoon rest, sugar dispenser or dish, a tea towel or microwave mitt, nice soap, decorated spice jar. I am not going to outlaw dollar store items but you cannot just send dollar store items. They must be jazzed up or embellished in some way and I don't just mean tie a ribbon around the too of a jar or similar. Lets use a jar as an example. Add fabric to the top, tie on a nice ribbon with a charm or a tag and add a pretty label and add fancy sanding sugar (decorating sugar) or specialty sprinkles. Now you've got much more than a dollar store jar so no one needs to know you paid a dollar because the final product would be worth at least $5 in a store that way. You may put 5 things you'd like to get and three things you wouldn't like to get and you partner will check your list. They must avoid your dislikes but do not have to get something from your request list. Those are just suggestions to help them get something you'd like. *If you use rubber stamping, please stamp cleanly; missed areas, smudges or double lines are not acceptable. *Please check your partner's profile and avoid dislikes both in colour and theme. You may make this profile based if you wish. *Please do not use computer generated images or sentiments unless they are professional quality and do not show any pixelation. And no magazine cut outs or 'kid' stickers. *Please make a beautiful MB you are proud of and would be thrilled to receive. Fill with profile-based goodies or ones that match your box. *The MB must include a total of at least 3 layers and/or embellishments. You must use all quality craft supplies. No cheap junk. *Make sure your work is clean and precise. No glue should show and straight cuts need to be straight. Colouring needs to look adult, not like a child did it. Please don't be discouraged by these rules. I am only referring to general tidy work, not tiny flaws. *Please ship with care. A bubble mailer isn't enough unless your box is sturdy. See the forums for a cheap and easy shipping suggestion that cuts down on mailing costs too! *Please have a 4.97+ rating to join and no 1's EVER or 3's in the last 6 months. I will accept explanations of course, PM me ahead of the sign up deadline. If you see a flaker has joined, don't worry, I will weed them out but there shouldn't be any on a group like this! If you are really worried, give me a heads up! I’ve been flaked on so many times, I've stopped keeping track, so I get it! |
