Description:

This is the same swap that Elizabeth4510 was hosting. Since she's taking a break from swap-bot, she was gracious enough to allow me to host this swap.
Getting something other than bills is one of the reasons I love to swap. I enjoy opening my mailbox and finding a nice package from a new friend. Well, for this swap, you will send something to the person identified by your partner. This person could be anyone your partner feels need a pick me up or is lonely. This is a great way to put a smile on someone's face. IMPORTANT: If you join this swap, in the comments section please identify who you choose to receive the swap, your relationship to that person, and something you know that person would want to receive. Many people have food allergies so please write these down in the comments section, as well. When your partner is assigned, send them the name and address of the person you chose within 5 days. Here are some rules to follow: 1. Please, please, please include a note with your swap stating why you're sending them a package and who asked you to send a package. This is very important. 2. The swap items should cost between $5-10.00. 3. In your note, please ask the recipient to tell the person who chose them that they received their swap. 4. You must have at least 5 swaps and a rating of 4.9 and above.
REMEMBER: You won't receive anything in this swap other than the satisfaction of putting a smile on someone's face!

This is a wonderful idea! I look forward to doing this -- nice too that you are continuing Elizabeth's idea.

Giving is always a great boost to your soul.

Vanillavagabond, Thank you! I thought this was an AWESOME swap and felt that it should be continued. Thanks for joining.

I agree, this is a very nice swap idea! Very much in the spirit of this site, I think. :)

Thanks for picking up this swap. My person for this swap is my father. He's a difficult person sometimes but sure could use a pick-me-up. He loves baseball, candy, and other little treats. No music please as he's hard of hearing and sad about it. Thanks!

Thanks so much for taking up this swap. I would like to have something sent to my daughter, Shannon. She is a very good-hearted person, always doing something for others. She is 26 and married for 5 yrs. She and her husband are expecting their first baby in September--they are so excited! She does not know the sex of the baby yet, but will find out later in April.

She loves to read, do word search puzzles, color in coloring books and blow bubbles!LOL I know she will love and appreciate anything that her partner decides to send to her.

This is a fantastically generous idea for a swap. I love eet. :)

I would like something sent to my best friend, Melissa. Her mother passed away suddenly in February, and she's been having a very rough time of it. I know that if anyone could use something to brighten her day, it would be Melissa.

She loves to read, loves anything with faeries and/or Tinkerbell, is addicted to The Sims, eyeshadow, and anything black or purple. She also loves to bake and is planning on attending culinary school soon.

Yeay, thanks for starting this up again :) This swap is for my mother who has Alzheimers. She is 66 years old and lives with me but is very child-like. Anything you send would make her happy...she is socially about 5 to 7 years old, so she really enjoys small soft dolls (including dotees), stuffed animals, warm socks, she loves religious items. She is Catholic and has a small collection of rosary beads and small angel figurines. She likes costume jewelery...like small earings and decorative pins to wear on her clothes. She always feels very lonely so a little note to her would be great! She is very easy to please...dollar store items are fine. I just ask that you don't send slippers, she trips with them.

I originally signed up for my sister, but I think I'm going to sign up for my mom instead. She loves windchimes, so that would be a great choice. She also likes small religious items (medallions, prayer cards, rosary beads), pocket coins, truffles, and coin purses. She collects tiny little bottles with things inside and small animals carved from wood or stone. Please ask if you need more ideas! Thanks in advance.

I love this swap and missed out on the other one. I would like a package sent to my best friend Sandy. She just lost her sister to breast cancer in Feb at the young age of 49. Sandy loves wind chimes, music box-wind up stffies & things, bulbs like lily of the valley, elephant ears or calla lilies. She is a mom to a 17 y.o. son, a 26 y.o. son and a developmentally disabled 25 y.o. daughter and grandma to 2 little girls age 4 and 2. She has a grandson on the way due late may/early june. She loves to paint with acrylic paints, mostly fired ceramic bisque. She loves genealogy. She is a CSI fanatic. (crime scene investigation tv show). Her mom has been gone now for years and her dad died when she was 6. She loves picture frames, photo albums and I'd love to see her get more into scrap booking. Please just don't send her any pink ribbon breast cancer things. She is overwhelmed having her sis gone and says she won't be back into that kind of thing until later on when the loss is not so fresh. Sandy is super sweet, easy going and simple to please. She will be delighted to be thought of. She writes great letters and some nice lined stationary might be welcome too. Thanks everybody!

My mom would love to receive something. I think it might even get her swappin'. She doesn't have any allergies, but I wouldn't send food. She likes to do word puzzles, sudukos, play Sims, watch TV, and research. She teaches bible school/sunday school and is really into that lately. She likes funny little trinkets and magnets, etc.. She'll need a note too explaining everything cheerily. It would be fine not to spend any money at all on this one. You could do a list of interesting websites or movies she could Netflix. Be creative and keep it positive. Thank you for sending something special to someone special to me.

I want my sister-in-law, Miriam to receive something. She got divorced a few years ago and currently works as a VP in a bank. She works way too hard and I guess it's so she doesn't focus on other things. She really likes Catholic religious items such as rosaries, prayer cards, anything having to do with angels (new age is okay), self help books, etc....... Thanks!

the person i pick is the most amazing person, because even though i'm not in a relationship with her son she treats me like a good friend, she even send us money to help moving, helped pay for the moving truck and every time we could not make the pay check strech for food. And most times i can't even return the favor, we now live 2-3 blocks away from her home, and the yucky rainy, gloomy weather and job sometimes makes her really deppressed. She loves buddas, anything asian inspired, for food is hard because she's always on a diet, she also spends a lot of time gardening and got my little one into gardening. She is thrift store person, for most of the stuff she will not pay retail, she likes goodwill but dissappointed on how spendy is gotten, so she prefers Value Village, she started sewing as well, D.

I want to do this swap for my best friend Jenny. She is my maid of honor in my wedding and has helped me through so much. Both of us lost our moms when we were younger and she knows how hard it has been for me planning this wedding without her. She loves a lot of the things I do. She loves to read (Harry Potter is one of her faves) she loves makeup and taking baths. She loves things that match and hates knick-knacks. Always has uses for cute purses and pretty journals. She's loves writing poetry and watching all sorts of different movies. She loves Tinkerbell and Eeyore.

Thanks!
