Have you ever editted an All About Me letter? Left out the honest bits and made them a bit more 'rainbows and butterflies'? Ever get one from someone and think - this person has GOT to be lying, they seem just too darn content?! Is their life really this peachy? There must be something wrong with me... For this swap you will send your partner (one partner) a letter telling them a bit about yourself. But this time don't send a letter telling about just your likes, dislikes, hobbies, interests, your family, job, pets and/or home. (Tho by all means, do include those details as well.) Tell them random things that interest or amuse you, things that make you laugh (even if to you inappropriate is funny - I laugh when uncomfortable, it can be dangerous!) Share some little known facts about yourself, or some secrets, things you don't normally make public when you meet someone. Tell them the most daring thing you have ever done, the most outrageous, the things, the most embarrassing, the bits that you might supress when you normally write a letter introducing yourself. Tell them what you really think of your job, your mother-in-law, the neighbours... Be honest, and don't edit it for the sake of 'what will people think?!' I hate doing 'all about me' letters, because I always wonder how much people edit out of them. I don't have the perfect marriage, most stress-free job, the most angelic kids... I have hobbies that I don't make public to my family... I can't possibly be the only one! note - disclaimer - nothing vulgar or offensive should be sent, but please reconsider joining if easily offended just in case not seeing eye to eye on certain things could be an issue for you. |
