Description:

OK, I am a little odd, but lets see if I'm the only one. I really have been drawn to Victorian photographs lately. I really like the Victorian era's simplicity and rigidity in theory (though, I'd go insane if restrained by their rules of conduct in real life)

Anyhow, They were rather some of the most morbid people without even realizing it. We would consider horrifically morbid some of the things they would simply take in stride.

Let's make some ATC's with these themes.

=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=

Some ideas:

  1. Mourning Customs a. Mourning Jewelry b. Mourning Costume c. Some of the specific "Rules" of conduct regarding what a woman could do during her mourning period.

  2. Corsetry. a. Tight Lacing b. The effects there-of c. The standard images of beauty comparitively (then and now)

  3. Post Mortem Photographs (pretty self explanitory, and I must say, my favorite concept.

These are just some ideas. I'm sure that everybody will come up with some great ideas!!

Down to business:

2xATC's 2xPartners = 4xATC's total

ATC's are 2.5" x 3.5"

I do not mind them being a bit three dimentional.

International (It's just ATC's!!)

Nobody under a 4.5 rating

Taxidermy as a Ladies' pasttime. Taxidermed animals on crazy quilts. Ewww!

I would prefer one of the first 2 subjects if my partner is reading this---the Post Mortum photos are a little to creepy even for me!

oh they're all just suggestions, not guidelines. ;)

Are we allowed to make them on a computer then print them out?

AmigurumiNymph 04/22/2008 #

Computer art is no problem for me so long as they're cardstock backed, or printed on card stock. ^_^

Like any swap, just make sure that it's something that you'd want to receive and I'm sure that it will be fine. ^_^
