I love reading historical books about the influential women of the world's past. From the early 14th Century BC to current times. I am always fascinated by the political and religious influences these women had over their kingdoms or over their generation. I thought this would be an interesting series to do with ATCs. Each swap will have a different historical character. You don't have to paint or draw each lady on the atcs. Unless you want to. Maybe an atc with things that each woman represented. Week 4: Joan of Arc, Leader of the French Army, 1412-1431 Born into a peasant family, Joan became a French heroine by leading the army of Charles VII against the English and raising their siege of Orleans. Captured by the Burgundians, and ransomed by the English, she was put on trial on charges of witchcraft and fraud. She eventually was convicted only of wearing male clothes, an offense against the Church, and was burned at the stake. Her legend grew and she became canonized in 1920. Standard 2.5x3.5in size. NO sticker slapping. Please put some effort into your atc. NO FLAKERS! I may allow newbies into this swap if your profile is COMPLETELY filled out and you have at least 10 swap 3s. I don't want any issues with this series. Will angel if needed, hopefully wont have to. |
