Welcome to the next round of The Traveling Camera challenge! The idea of this swap is to take one photo on a disposable camera and send it to your partner. By the end of the 24 rounds, you should have a camera full of photos, each taken by a different swapper. If you participated in the first round... The theme for this round is LIGHT AND SHADOW. Get creative with light sources to create a cool shadow or walk around outside during different times of day. Make sure your subject isn't too dark to show up on a photo (if you're not sure, try taking your photo on a cell phone or digital camera first. The same photo taken on a disposable camera will probably be slightly darker). If this is your first round... You are welcome to participate, however, I am only planning on doing 24 rounds of this swap, so keep in mind that your camera might not be full be the end of the swaps. If you want to participate, just buy a disposable camera with at least 24 exposures, take ONE photo (preferably one that meets the requirements of the theme explained above), and send it off to your partner. Be sure to write your address somewhere on the camera so that it gets back to you at the end of the swaps. PLEASE don't take photos of anything inappropriate or potentially disturbing. There are plenty of 'safe' photo subjects out there. With that said, feel free to get creative and think outside the box. Set up objects in a unique way, play with lighting and backdrops, get a friend to model for you, have fun, and EXPERIMENT! I will accept anyone with at least 5 completed swaps, some of which must be type 3. Unexplained low ratings will not be accepted. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to comment or send me a message. I'd also love to hear suggestions for future themes. |
