Make one ATC for one partner using only pen and ink. Here is one video tutorial demonstrating basic pen and ink shading techniques.
Your piece must be made with black ink on a white background. No other colors should be incorporated.
Use illustration or technical drawing pens (such as Prismacolor Illustration Markers, Sakura Pigma Micron Pens, or Staedtler Pigment Liner Sketch Pens) that are:
archival
fade-resistant / lightfast
smudge-proof
water-proof
bleed-proof
Use a quality, smooth paper like Bristol board. (No computer paper, please.) Be sure to cut this to standard ATC size.
Any subject matter is allowed. Having said that, avoid sending an image of something your partner has listed as a dislike.
Please do not create a zentangle or random doodle for this project.
Write the title of your piece, the date and your name on the back of the ATC. Be sure to include your username and the swap title in the package.
Send something you would love to receive.
ENJOY THE PROCESS! Remember, this is an opportunity to try something new, if you've never before done a pen and ink drawing.
