Description:

I want to give credit to @polvodestrella for coming up with the original swap.

This is an environmental friendly ATC swap. In it we're going to create an ATC using anything BUT scrapbooking material. This means that we're going to use and re-use materials that don't have the purpose of being used as craft materials in the first place, and put them together to create the ATC.

These are only examples of some of the materials that can be used:

  • Used envelopes
  • Book Pages
  • Magazine Pages
  • Tickets
  • Used stamps
  • Pamphlets
  • Expired Coupons
  • Cereal Boxes
  • Notebook covers
  • Calendars

You won't be able to use scrapbooking paper, embellishments, stickers, washi tape, or anything that is meant to be used for crafting purposes.

Of course you can use scrapbooking tools like scissors, glue or paint, but if you use paint make sure that it's always on another surface (for instance on a book page) and not just painting the background of the ATC.

It would be nice if you added a note with the ATC explaining where the material you used comes from.

Remember that ATCs are 2.5 x 3.5 inches and should have a sturdy backing. On the back of it you should put the title of the ATC, the day in which you made it, the maker, and the name of the swap. You should also include a contact email (sometimes ATCs travel from one person to another, and at some point somebody might want to contact the artist).

For any question, feel free to ask! I'll be happy to answer.

Have you all heard about using citrasolv to make a marbled look with heavy coated magazine paper (like national geographic, but also the restoration hardware catalog works too) Here's some info: http://www.citrasolv.com/art/tutorial4.html
