Description:

This is a swap in which your sewn project will go to charity instead of to your partner.

We will create pillowcases for American Patchwork and Quilting's One Million Pillowcase Challenge. (http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases)

  • You will sew two (2) or more pillowcases and donate them at the site of your choice. The website allows you to locate shops near you that accept donations.
  • You may use any pattern you like. The website has patterns if you don't already have one. The basic pattern is very beginner-friendly.
  • Pillowcases do not have to match.
  • You may use fabric of your choosing.
  • Take at least one photograph of your pillowcases.
  • Send an email to your partner that includes the photo of your pillowcases and at least a brief note about which pattern you used, or what you enjoyed about the project, or some other relevant info.
  • Please add your donated pillowcases to APQ's counter, as instructed on their home page.

Send on time.
Rate promptly and accurately.
Communicate with your partner and host if there are problems.

What a fantastic idea, TC! Thank you for putting this swap together. And I happen to love French seams so I will be making at least the required two but hope to make a half dozen with that method. :-)
