I love finding new fabrics and thought it would be fun to arrange a fat quarter fabric swap. I hope to make a funky quilt with fabrics from around the world and I figure this is one way to do it. Because of shipping on this Fat Quarter swap, it is US only. Make sure you check out my similar Fat Quarter International Swap. What's a fat quarter. Here's the answer: Basically, it's a quarter yard cut of fabric like calico or other good quilting fabrics. It's half of a half yard of 44" wide fabric. See the link above if you're still not sure. Everyone will have one partner and will send four fat quarters of fabric. They should each fit into ONE of the following categories:
Some fat quarters might fit into more than one category but that doesn't mean you can send less than four fat quarters. Here's an example of what you might send: Something coffee or tea-related (because it makes you feel warm and fuzzy - or because it's a beverage), a red brocade, wine label or vineyard-inspired fabric, black/white paisley. Any questions? Ask. Once again... you'll send FOUR fat quarters to ONE partner. You will have four weeks after the swap closes to send your packages, because you may have to do some rummaging through your own fabric stash or hit up the local fabric stores. This is a US-ONLY swap. Newbies welcome ONLY if you have a full profile and contact me via PM. No recent no-sends for the veterans. I reserve the right to ban anyone from this swap for any reason. Blah blah blah. Happy swapping! :) |
