I love finding new fabrics and thought it would be fun to arrange a fat quarter fabric swap. I hope to make a funky quilt with fabrics from around the world and I figure this is one way to do it. This swap is International! Make sure you check out my similar Fat Quarter US-Only Swap. What's a fat quarter? Here's the answer: Basically, it's a quarter yard cut of fabric like calico or other good quilting fabrics. It's half of a half yard of 44" wide fabric. See the link above if you're still not sure. Everyone will have ONE partner and will send TWO different fat quarters of fabric. At least one should represent in some way where you're from or where you live. For example, I live in Wisconsin - the "Dairy State." So maybe I'd send something cow or cheese-related. Or, maybe I'd send fabric with the logo of one of our local sports teams. Any questions? Ask. Once again... you'll send TWO fat quarters to ONE partner. You will have three weeks after the swap closes to send your packages, because you may have to do some rummaging through your own fabric stash or hit up the local fabric stores. This is an INTERNATIONAL swap. Newbies welcome ONLY if you have a full profile and contact me via PM. No recent no-sends for the veterans. I reserve the right to ban anyone from this swap for any reason. Blah blah blah. Happy swapping! :) |
