Love sewing and quilting/patchwork? So do I!! I have just learnt to foundation piece during my quilt class I have been attending and thought I would hold a swap of foundation pieced blocks! Foundation pieced - paper pieced blocks, for example.. A range of free patterns here.. http://www.freequilt.com/piecing.html Requirements; Please use 100% cotton only. ALL blocks MUST be 6 1/2" (6 and a half) inches square. PLEASE include 1/4" seam allowance. What kind of block? Any block your little heart desires, BUT MUST be 6 1/4" finished. Make 3 blocks, one for you and 2 to send to your partners. I hope, if this works out, we can have a little wall hanging. Please correct me if I have boo-boo'd anywhere. 4 weeks to allow plenty of time :) International Any q's? Please PM me. I just want us to have fun and enjoy my new technique :) Do you want to join in too?

Sorry everyone, foundation pieced = paper pieced quilting blocks.. different names for the one technique ugh! :/

to make a 6" finished block, you have to make a 6 1/2" block to give 1/4" seam allowance all around, you have stated two differend sized blocks
