Description:

The little one in our house, age 4, has been fussing a bit (since her mom and I get all the mail that comes in because we are both addicted to Swap-Bot!) that she ‘don’ ever get nuthin’!!’ So I thought, maybe once a month, I would host a coloring page exchange for the Pre-Schoolers in our lives.

Note: This swap is meant for members (including International) with young children, ages 3-6. I don’t really mean to be exclusionary, and if I upset anyone, please accept my apologies, but I want to safe guard the children and their info as much as possible.

This month, let’s go with a Christmas (or your Holiday celebration) or even a Happy New Year’s theme. I want to time this so that the children will receive the coloring pages while they are all out on holiday break from school. (hopefully giving frazzled Mom’s, Dad’s and Grandparent’s a 5 minute break while the kids color!!)

The exchange is with 3 partners, so you will send out 1 coloring page to each of 3 partners and your child will receive 1 coloring page from 3 others. If you like, you could send a short letter from your child to the recipient child, letting them know your child’s name, age, if they have pets, etc. General information.

Please leave your child’s name (FIRST NAME ONLY) and their age in the comment section below, so that the partners can know, so they can send accordingly. If your child’s name does not clearly indicate that they are boy or girl, please list that as well. (The name Sydney, for instance, can be male or female.) The card should be addressed to the child’s first name, then underneath their name, ‘c/o’ and the member’s name and address. (You can also just write the child’s name on the envelope, place that envelope into a bigger one and mail it all to the parent member.)

OK! Have I covered everything?? Again, I know this is a short time span from sign up to send out; I will set up January’s exchange with a longer lead-time. Let’s just see where this one takes us!!

Happy Holidays to all!!

Susan

Mine's Maddison, age 4!! She'll love it!

I updated this a bit, changed the number of partners and how many coloring pages to send out, hoping to get some more sign ups. Any other suggestions??

My little guy is always wondering why mama has to go to the post office so much and why he never gets any mail. So he's in!

Welcome in JaneR's son!!! Hope he has fun with his mail!

I updated this again, realized that it said you would send 1 coloring page and it should have read 1 coloring page to each of 3 partners. Sorry for the confusion!

Jane R. as you can see susan and I have the same address so the pages will be going to the same child. It's up to you: You can send Maddison two coloring pages and we can send your son two or we can go one and one. It doesn't matter to us. Sorry this happened we just thought we'd have a little better turn out.... ~westie
