*photo from littlescrapsofmagic.typepad.com If you really like this swap the group link in above. Anyone can join the group, but swaps will have a rating requirement. Unrated swappers welcome; we all had to start somewhere. This swap is for people who want to start an altered book or journal. An altered book is a book, usually hardback with text only pages, that you paint, rip, glue, and alter. This swap is for people who don't want to risk losing their book while swapping. Whether it's lost in the post or your partner flakes. Instead in the swap you will have your own book that you are going to alter yourself that you never send to anyone. What we're going to do instead is send our partners a envelope filled with ephemera based on a theme, and you will have to altered one two-page spread of your book with whatever your partner sent you. You can use your own supplies also, but make sure to used most of the things your partner sent. Only send around 1 oz, US swappers should only need 1-2 stamps on these envelopes. I want everyone to receive completely filled envelopes, not just a few things. Send things you'd be happy to receive. This round's theme is sender's choice. Only one partner this round since It's my first time organizing. The swap send out deadline is just for the envelope of stuff. You can create your journal in your own time. I just wanted to start a small community so we can all share supplies and work on our journals 'together'. Items to send: Scrapbook paper, stickers, die cuts, book illustrations, bingo cards, atcs, inchies, zentangles, doodles, cut out sentences or words, embellishments, old photographs, flash cards, stamped images, hand drawn things, etc. Anything that counts as ephemera or just really cool things that are mostly flat that can be used in an altered book. I want to make a gallery where everyone can post pictures of their completed pages, any suggestions on which site i should use. |
