Edited 10/21/13 to add that your letter(s) can be typed. Participants have been emailed separately to notify of this additional information. For this swap, we will be writing a letter to our partner every week for four weeks. A month of letters! We will also enclose a blank notecard and envelope for our partner in each week's letter. Notecards are not Birthday, Anniversary, Get Well and other such greeting cards. They can have the word "Hello" or "Thinking of You", but in general, notecards do not have words on their cover. The notecards should be different each week. If your notecard is loved so much by your partner, they might ask for another one, and you can certainly enclose the same notecard a following week if your partner asks and you have another one. But in general, we will give our partner a new notecard and envelope each week. Our letters should be equal to at least 1 - 8-1/2x11 (A4) sheet of paper. If you write large, please write at least 2 sheets worth. Yes, you can use smaller paper. Two 5x7 sheets would be comparable to one 8-1/2x11. You can certainly write more than 1 - 8-1/2x11 sheet, because we all love lengthy and newsy letters, I'm sure. But the minimum requirement is one sheet. You may write about whatever you'd like. Look at your partner's Profile for ideas of what your partner might be interested in reading about. When you write, ask questions of your partner, too, which might encourage them to write a letter back. You are not required to write back to the person who is writing to you, but if you feel inclined to, feel free to reply. Perhaps you will find a new penpal in this swap. There is a schedule to mail each week's letter and blank notecard enclosure. I want everyone to receive a letter each week for the month of November, which is why this is a USA only swap. You may mail before the due date each week, like on a Monday or Tuesday, but do not mail beyond Wednesday of each week or that week's letter may be considered "late" by your partner. Send your letter according to these dates:
During Week 1 - Week 3, you can comment below or on your partner's Profile that you have sent that week's letter & notecard. You will click "Sent" on the swap page after you have sent Week 4's letter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This swap is open to all USA swappers. However, I do check all Profiles before making assignments. Newbies, you must have a well-filled out Profile. Basically, swappers want to know who you are, what you like to do in your spare time, hobbies, general things you like, maybe some things you don't like. Your Profile is information you'd share with someone you just met, not a friend yet, but hoping to be one. Rated swappers, if you have any 1's from swappers who are still active on SB, please fulfill those swaps first. For any 1s or 3s on your Profile, dated replies to their ratings will be helpful for myself and other swappers to know that you have, or are working on, fulfilling your swaps. But do fulfill any late swaps before joining this one because I will have to drop anyone with unfulfilled swaps. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send me a Private Message and/or enter the Discussion below. And as a final note, I do Angel my swaps. So have fun swappin'! |
