I've been having a lot of fun with decorative tapes lately, from obtaining them, sharing them, and creating with them. By decorative, I'm talking about the sticky stuff that comes on a roll and has some sort of pattern on it. It could be washi tape, craft tape, paper tape, masking tape, and you may have even seen other names for it too. There are lots of easy ways to use tape to make cards. This quilt idea is just one I thought of and apparently lots of others had thought of it too because when I searched online for "washi quilt cards," lots of blogs popped up with tutorials. At first, I wondered how I would ever choose or match colors, but I didn't stress too long, picked a color combination to try and went with it. I liked the result (shown above). So, are you now excited to try one? I hope so! Details
This will be a card for your partner to enjoy, so please write a friendly note inside the card, not on a separate piece of paper. Perhaps you'll write about your day or about your tape :) As always, please add a few strips of decorative tape to the front of your mailing envelope - it makes it fun for the postal people and the recipient too. |
